The Golden Bachelorette: Pascal Igbui As The Golden Bachelor Could Ruin His Reputation (The Show Could Confirm His Red Flags)

Pascal Ibgui would be a potential choice to star in the next season of The Golden Bachelor, but his time on The Golden Bachelorette already highlighted how he could ruin his reputation. As a former fan favorite, Pascal captivated audiences with his charm, French accent, and engaging personality. Despite forming a strong bond with Joan Vassos, Pascal ultimately decided to leave the show, admitting he wasn't ready for a deeper emotional commitment. He particularly mentioned that a symbolic Tahitian bonding ceremony made him realize the relationship was not what he wanted.

The Golden Bachelorette: Pascal Igbui As The Golden Bachelor Could Ruin His Reputation (The Show Could Confirm His Red Flags)

The Golden Bachelorette season 1 was a rollercoaster ride, and Pascal made it much farther than anyone could have anticipated. Chock Chapple was crowned the winner after emerging as the clear frontrunner early on in the season. However, other characters came to the forefront as potential franchise favorites, including Mark Anderson, father of Bachelor alum Kelsey Anderson, Guy Gansert, who came under fire for a restraining order scandal, and fan-favorite Charles Ling, a charming contestant eliminated too soon. However, Pascal shouldn't be cast as the next Golden Bachelor.

Pascal Is Already Under Fire For His Stalker Comments About Chock

He's Gotten A Little Intense

Pascal accused Chock of being a stalker, comments which were heavily criticized. The controversial Golden Bachelorette star said Chock acted like a stalker during their time on the show, criticizing his love-bombing during the show. Pascal specifically called out Chock for comments such as asking Joan, "Which side of the bed do you sleep on?" and for hovering over her during a bowling date, which Pascal said made everybody uncomfortable.

Chock was all over her to the point where he was [like a] stalker. "

"Chock was all over her to the point where he was [like a] stalker," Pascal continued in his interview with Glamour, not letting up on Chock. It's unclear whether Pascal was jealous or had legitimate concerns, but it's obvious there's no love lost between Pascal and Chock. He could be too fiery to be the next Golden Bachelor.

Pascal Has A Similar Attitude To Former Bachelor Lead Juan Pablo

He Doesn't Want Older Women Cast On The Golden Bachelor

Pascal is similar to a classic Bachelor franchise character, Juan Pablo Galavis, who was known for his charm and lack of emotional depth. His European flair and attractive accent pulled the wool over Joan's eyes, and he maintained a certain level of emotional distance from Joan. That's ultimately why he complained about Chock; Pascal was unwilling to get vulnerable with Joan in the same way.

Pascal and Juan Pablo are also both pretty superficial, and Pascal recently made shocking and telling comments regarding his vanity. He said he would only go on The Golden Bachelor if all the women were younger than him, scoffing at the idea of dating a woman in her 70s. The entire point of The Golden Bachelor and The Golden Bachelorette is to match older singles.

Pascal Is Too Honest To Be A Likable Golden Bachelor

He Would Get Himself Canceled

Ultimately, Pascal would get himself into big trouble if he was cast as the next Golden Bachelor. While he's expressed interest in the role, his upfront demeanor and refusal to compromise on transparency, particularly regarding his relationship expectations, could get him canceled. Pascal also admitted he wasn't ready for an emotional commitment with Joan on The Golden Bachelorette, and there's no indication he would change his ways in the new season. Combined with the fact that he only wants to date younger women, Pascal would be a bad casting choice.
