Russell Wilson took his sweet time in deciding which NFL team he would play with for this coming season. Earlier this week, he decided to sign with the New York Giants on a one-year deal that could pay him up to $21 million.
He will now call MetLife Stadium, the arena in which he won Super Bowl XLVIII for the Seattle Seahawks, home for the 2025 campaign, and he will look to make the downtrodden Giants competitive again.
Ciara, the singer/songwriter who is married to Wilson, appears to be excited about the move to the New York City area. She reacted on her Instagram account to the news about her husband.

“What a day,” Ciara said. “Grateful for new beginnings.”
Ciara married Wilson back in 2016, and they have had three children together. She has won one Grammy award, two MTV Video Music Awards and two BET Awards.
Wilson isn't quite the force he was several years ago when he led the Seahawks back when they were perennial contenders, but he's still capable of holding down the fort. He did just that with the Pittsburgh Steelers last season by helping them win 10 games and reach the playoffs.

In 11 games during the 2024 campaign, he threw for 2,482 yards and 16 touchdowns while completing 63.7% of his pass attempts.
