They may no longer be on the NY Giants, but you know what, we're always going to keep a close eye on them. We're talking about Odell Beckham Jr., now with the Dolphins, and Sterling Shepard, now with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Beckham is yet to make his 2024 debut, while Shepard has been making some noise for his new team. Following last season, plenty of us assumed Shep was going to be done in the NFL and he'd hang up his cleats. TB decided to give him a shot and after cooking the Eagles last week, the veteran wideout is turning heads again.
In the first half of the Thursday Night Football battle between the Bucs and Falcons in Atlanta, Baker Mayfield was facing 3rd down and he tossed a rope that plenty of people thought would be headed for Mike Evans. Instead, Mayfield hooked up with Shepard for a tremendous score. OBJ was all of us watching that sweet TD from home:

You know what, good for Shepard. Again, the assumption was that he was going to retire and start spending more time at home this fall or at the golf course. Instead, he has worked his tail off after signing to the Bucs' practice squad. He stayed patient and now he's back to making headlines.
Shepard has battled so much injury adversity in recent seasons, which led to the Giants not bringing him back. It was an easy decision for Brian Daboll and Joe Schoen, but that doesn't mean that people in New York and New Jersey still don't have a ton of respect and admiration for him.
As soon as Shepard posted that TD in primetime, Giants fans raced to social media to celebrate the play. The list includes Beckham, who is still quite close with his former teammate. Hopefully we can see OBJ score his first TD of the year soon. You know Shepard will be ready to see that too.
