Notable Bears PFF player grades in ugly 'TNF' loss to Seahawks

The Chicago Bears lost their 10th consecutive game against the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday night but some individual performances are worth taking a look at.

No offensive player finished with a Pro Football Focus grade of 80 or higher as the Bears only mustered a total of three points, but two defensive players received overall grades of at least 85 and one finished with a grade in the 90s.

Here are the Bears' top five performers on both offense and defense (minimum of 10 snaps played) against the Seahawks, per PFF. For reference, a grade of 60.0 is considered average while those in the 30s are very poor and those in the 90s are elite.

Offense

  • WR DJ Moore: 74.6
  • RB D'Andre Swift: 70.6
  • RT Darnell Wright: 63.6
  • WR Keenan Allen: 60.9
  • WR Rome Odunze: 60.3

It wasn't a night to attempt to glamorize for Chicago's offense as most offensive players finished with below-average grades for their performances.

Moore led all receivers with six catches for 54 yards and Swift had 16 touches from the line of scrimmage for 81 total yards. On an offensive line that was faced with consistent pressure all night, Wright was the only bright spot, as no other offensive lineman finished with an overall grade in the 60s.

Odunze only hauled in 1-of-4 targets for 15 yards but would've also had a long receiving touchdown if the play wasn't called back due to a Chicago penalty in the first half.

Defense

  • CB Kyler Gordon: 92.5
  • DT Byron Cowart: 86.6
  • DE Montez Sweat: 76.5
  • DE Daniel Hardy: 76.2
  • CB Jaylon Johnson: 71.7

Gordon had his best performance of the season on Thursday, playing 47 snaps, recording five tackles, forcing a fumble, recording a defensive stop and breaking up a pass. It's the second time he's finished with an overall grade of at least 90, as he received a 90.9 in Week 12 against the Minnesota Vikings.

While only playing 17 snaps, Cowart posted his best overall grade of the season, tallying two pressures, one sack, one hurry, one tackle and two defensive stops on the night.

The Bears will wrap up its season at Lambeau Field when they take on the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, Jan. 5.
