Not even Lamar Jackson's pants could stop him from obliterating Giants

Lamar Jackson is known for his jaw-dropping plays , but on Sunday against the New York Giants, he added a new wrinkle to his highlight reel: scrambling for 20 yards while trying to pull his pants up. Yes, you read that right—Jackson, in the middle of juking defenders out of their cleats, had to use his off-hand to keep his tights from slipping down.

Not even Lamar Jackson's pants could stop him from obliterating Giants

This wasn’t a pregame blooper or a sideline wardrobe malfunction. No, it happened live, with a helpless Giants defense watching as Jackson casually combined athletic brilliance with, well, an unexpected dose of multitasking. And somehow, the guy still picked up a first down, because of course he did.

The Baltimore Ravens, now 9-5, cruised to a 35-14 win at MetLife Stadium behind Jackson’s five touchdown passes, but let’s be honest: that pants-pulling scramble is going to live in our heads for a while.

The moment came late in the second quarter with Baltimore leading 14-7. On a first-and-10 play, Jackson dropped back, saw nothing downfield, and decided to take off. But just as he started weaving through defenders, his tights betrayed him.

Jackson, as usual, had the best explanation for the play:
“I felt like wind was touching my butt, you know,” Jackson said after the game, laughing. “I was just trying to keep my pants up. That’s all it was. It was too cold out there.”

Using his left hand to secure his pants, he shifted his weight, cut back against the grain, and left the Giants defense grasping at air. By the time the play was over, he had picked up 20 yards and another clip for the highlight reel.

It’s one thing to outrun NFL defenders. It’s another to do it while avoiding a wardrobe malfunction.

As entertaining as the pants play was, it was just one piece of a dominant performance from Jackson. He finished the day 21-of-25 for 290 yards, five touchdowns, and a QB rating of 154.6—just shy of perfection.

Whether he was finding Mark Andrews for a record-setting touchdown, dropping a 49-yard bomb to Rashod Bateman, or helping rookie Devontez Walker score his first NFL touchdown, Jackson was locked in. He also added 65 rushing yards because, well, that’s what Lamar does.

The Ravens, fresh off their bye week, looked like a team ready to make a playoff push. Meanwhile, the Giants were left searching for answers as Jackson dismantled their defense—pants issue and all.

Baltimore has a massive AFC North showdown against Pittsburgh next week, but for now, Ravens fans can revel in Jackson’s brilliance. If even a wardrobe malfunction can’t stop him, good luck to the Steelers.
