The Houston Texans now know who they will play in the first round of the 2024-25 NFL playoffs.
They finished first in the AFC South above teams like the Indianapolis Colts, Tennessee Titans, and the Jacksonville Jaguars. At 10-7, this season feels a lot worse than last season, but that's because of all of the expectations they had. Now, it's time to forget about all of that and move on to the playoffs.
Last year they played in the Wild Card Round and beat the Cleveland Browns at home. They would go on to lose to the Baltimore Ravens, who lost to the Super Bowl champions in the Kansas City Chiefs. This year, they will have an opponent they haven't played since 2022.
Texans to play Chargers in Wild Card Round
The Los Angeles Chargers drew the fourth seed to play against in the playoffs when they beat the Las Vegas Raiders, who did put up a bit of a fight at the beginning of the game. But, the Chargers are a much better team than you may think and are a team that is similar to the Texans last year.
They are a rebuilding team, who made the postseason with their first-year head coach in the first year of a rebuild. Both of these teams have a lot to prove, and both will be looking to put it on the field next week.
These two have only played one another nine total times, and haven't played since 2022, when both were completely different teams, so there won't be a game against one another from earlier this year to go off of.
The Chargers are 6-3 all-time against the Texans.
