Bachelor Nation fans watched Gabi Elnicki look for love with Zach Shallcross on Season 27 of “The Bachelor.”
While things didn’t work out between Gabi and Bachelor Zach, she introduced her new boyfriend Zach Espinosa on social media last fall.
Now, she stopped by the “Almost Famous Podcast,” where she opened up to Ashley Iaconetti and Ben Higgins about when she knew Zach Shallcross wasn’t her person.
She explained, “I actually realized when I was there that Zach was not my person. No offense to him. Him and Kaity are perfect together and I totally understand them as a couple. To be honest with you, I’m probably not nice enough. I don’t think he could’ve handled me. I’m sassy and Kaity is very sweet and she’s a nurse and I know myself, I’m a little feisty. I don’t think that we would’ve been compatible in the long run.”
Gabi, who is still close friends with Kaity, shared more, saying, “I see Kaity a lot and just hearing about their relationship, it’s totally different and I really think it’s for the best. They’re very happy and I think he’s changed as a person since the show.”
And the Bachelor Nation star shared that toward the end of the season, she could also sense that Zach knew she wasn’t the one.
She said, “It was really telling to me that this person isn’t my partner because I felt like I wasn’t protected by him in any capacity. I know he was trying to be respectful of Kaity’s feelings and I get that, there’s no easy way to go about it, but I do think he could’ve been a little more mindful of me.”
We are so happy that Gabi has found love and we love that she’s still so close with Kaity.
