Paul Finebaum has always been a fan of Deion Sanders, but that appears to be coming to an end.

The SEC Network analyst called Coach Prime a bully and a hypocrite after it was reported that the Colorado coach will no longer answer columnist Sean Keeler’s questions, citing “sustained, personal attacks.”

“Coach Prime is showing he is not ready for primetime,” Finebaum told ESPN’s “Get Up” on Monday.” I find this whole thing disgraceful. Deion may want to talk about love and joy, and that’s been the cornerstone of what he seems to be spewing out.

“But treating reporters like this seems like we’re in some autocratic country. This is not America. The fact that it is in his contract is even more absurd.”

The Denver Post reported that Sanders has specific language in his contract that requires him to speak only with “mutually agreed upon media” as part of his employment.

“Don’t forget he did this at Jackson State,” Finebaum said. “This is a trait of Deion Sanders. He wants to have it his way. And I find him to be a bully and a hypocrite.”

Earlier this month, Sanders refused to answer questions from a reporter for a local CBS affiliate because he was associated with CBS, then clapped back at a columnist who tried to ask a question.
