C.J. Stroud is already doing what no other Houston Texans player has ever done after loss to Lions

The Houston Texans just lost to the Detroit Lions in heartbreak fashion. And, that's okay, they are a very young team that is still learning to win, and these types of games happen to even the best teams. In fact, it almost happened to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, as the Denver Broncos kicked a field goal that would have won the game, but it was blocked.

The Texans have the right foundation in place, though. Those wins will come, and even with that loss, they are still well on track to make the playoffs, because they just so happen to be in the same division as the Tennessee Titans, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Indianapolis Colts, who are all very bad.

But, there is one thing the Texans have that should keep everything intact. They got the hardest part of a rebuild out of the way quickly -- the franchise quarterback. And, C.J. Stroud is already one of the best quarterbacks in the entire league. In fact, he is already one of the most popular.

Now, I could be wrong in saying this, but as far as I know, no Houston Texans player has ever led the league in jersey sales, that is, until now.

J.J. Watt never did by my research, and neither did Andre Johnson and certainly not DeShaun Watson. But, Stroud is leading the league.

According to the NFL's Twitter account, Stroud is No. 1 above guys like Caleb Williams of the Chicago Bears, Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs, and plenty of others. Well, he's ahead of everyone in the entire league.

Stroud is a very marketable guy, and kids connect to him well. This makes for a great jersey to buy.
