Talk of his attendance at the highly anticipated, top-10 match-up has been circulating all week.

As you might imagine, people’s opinions of the former president being in attendance for the big game are just as passionate as the opinions of the game itself.

For those scoreboard watching, Trump has attended Crimson Tide football games twice, and Alabama is 1-1 in those matchups.

On our Alabama Crimson Tide on AL.com Facebook page, we asked fans “How do you feel about Donald Trump coming to Tuscaloosa for Alabama’s football game against Georgia?”

“I think if Trump wants to attend the Bama/Ga game, he should do so. He has every right to just because he is a fan of football. I’ve watched games that I wasn’t a fan of but just curious to see who was the toughest team. Trump, if you go have fun and Roll Tide!” - Rhonda Sanders Wisham

“Tuscaloosa infrastructure is gonna be stretched very thin all weekend. His presence just makes it worse.” - Kirby Lile

“Love it! He loves Alabama football!! Why not?” - Sherry Hayes Buell

“As long as he doesn’t bring bad luck like he did when we played LSU. But glad he’s going to be there!!” - Sara Hollenbach

“Politics aside, his unnecessary presence is gonna totally make traffic worse than it already will be. Alabama is NOT a competitive state. He’s coming for the exposure and to court Georgia fans and voters.” - Dee Linson

“He has every right to be there as a college football fan. If anyone feels unsafe stay home and watch it on television where you’ll have your own unwinnable debate with yourself over politics.” - Kevin Senter

“If it was for the love of the game, then no issue. But knowing him, this is more of a stunt due to the viewership and attention this game will get. Keep politics out of it!!! This is an event that we as Americans come together enjoy regardless of political leanings.” - Will Branch

“In my opinion, he is coming to get Georgia votes. Not Alabama. He needs to go create traffic jams in Athens, not Tuscaloosa.” - Yolanda Johnson

“The presence of a president (past or present) is an honor. Regardless of the political party, all Americans should honor the office of president. I will leave the boos for Georgia. ROLL TIDE !!!” - Matthew Rich

“Love it Alabama loves President Trump everybody has their opinion about him, but I like him coming to Bryant Denny.” - Caleb Taylor

“Could not care less. My only hope is they don’t mention he’s there every 5 minutes. I watch football for football.” - Jeremy Smith

“He wants to watch the two best teams.” - Doug Simmons

“I’m glad he is coming. I think it’s wonderful. You never seen Obama nor Biden, nor Kamala doing anything like he does. He does try to do what’s good for the whole nation and not for personal reasons.” - Brian Mccravy

“That would be great!!!! Best president since Ronald Reagan.” - Pete Johnson

“Nope!! The game is about the players and the fans, not about him. Besides let’s not put our players and fans in danger. Apparently it’s dangerous to be around him. - Marquis Gray

“Let him be the Guest speaker on College Game day set him up right by Coach Saban!!” - Kevin Thompson

“It would have been cool if he was coming to actually watch the game like he does with golf, but it’s just a political stunt. He did the same thing in 2020 when it was an election year. I’m not against politicians coming to the game but don’t use the venue for political purposes. Now, it’s most likely going to take even longer to get into the stadium because they gotta make sure no one is a threat to a presidential candidate. - Marcus Vs Osiris

“No! It’s inappropriate for the University to appear to endorse a candidate. The game is for the players and fans. It’s an unnecessary distraction and creates an unnecessary burden for fans attending the game. - Rachel Barrow

“Distraction. Horrible for the Alabama FOOTBALL team. They’re there to WIN THE GAME, not take part in political stunts. Everyone who is ok with it, would have a different opinion if it were a different candidate.” - Brad McEwen

“NO! It’s an important game that requires focus. He will turn it into a 3 ring circus. Couple that with the security that will be needed and it would be a horrible distraction.” - Pat Perry

“From a campaign perspective it makes no sense, Alabama is going red regardless, wouldn’t it make more sense to make a be in Michigan Pennsylvania? But please proceed, I guess.” - Nelson Agee

“Who really cares? Republicans and Democrats don’t even buy TV time in Alabama, and he will make it miserable for many attending. Put him in box and keep TV off of him. He won’t stay long.” - Max Joiner

“What’s his 40 time?” - Roy Peake

“If a president or former president is coming to your game, you are a successful program. Top tier.” - Jordan Ray Johnson

“Once again the state of Alabama embarrassing itself on a national stage.” - Kim Hood
