A fresh start awaits the New York Knicks under new head coach Mike Brown, and there is a raft of hopefuls aiming to earn their way onto his roster.
The Summer League roster features draft picks from 2024 and 2025, Pacome Dadiet, Kevin McCullar and Mohamed Diawara.
James Nnaji is also on the roster. He has been playing for Barcelona and was acquired in the Karl-Anthony Towns trade, with the Hornets previously having his rights.
Another interesting name is Slovenian prospect Luka Scuka.

Luka Scuka set for New York Knicks opportunity
Luka Scuka, 23, is a two-time Slovenian League champion who spent the 2024-25 season playing in Germany.
He stands at 6ft 10″ and is an international teammate of Luka Doncic, named in Slovenia’s preliminary squad for Eurobasket this summer.
His biggest game this past season was a 26 point 10 assist performance. He averaged 10.3 points per game and 5.4 assists, playing for Braunschweig.
Scuka plays as a forward and averaged 44.5 percent from the field this past season and 33.6 percent from three.
How Luka Scuka describes his game
Speaking ahead of his Bundesliga debut in 2024, Scuka described his strengths.
He told his team: “I’ve also heard that the BBL is very athletic and the game is played very fast. Both of these things suit me very well and will be good for my personal development.
“I’m also looking forward to the fans, who can expect a lot of energy, great dunks, and three-pointers from me.”
His club’s managing director added that Scuka is: “very agile and has a good overall package from shooting to rebounding.”
Scuka has made no secret that his dream is to play in the NBA, and his venture with the Knicks in Summer League is his first chance to show teams in the US what he can do.
