Running back Joe Mixon has been on an absolute tear since becoming a member of the Houston Texans, and that continued on "Monday Night Football" against the Dallas Cowboys.
Mixon, who checks in at a stout 6-foot-1, 220 pounds, is as tough as they come for a running back. Even eight years into his NFL career, though, he still has breakaway speed when he finds a gap.
Finding a gap is exactly what he did against Dallas. He took a handoff off right tackle, made two cuts and then burst through the hole for a 45-yard rushing touchdown.
It was a beautiful run:
Perhaps the most impressive part of that run was that even after cutting twice, two Cowboys had a chance to converge in on Mixon and stop him. It would have been a big game, but not a touchdown.
Even at 28 years old and after taking a beating for years with the Cincinnati Bengals, Mixon was able to turn on the boosters, and that allowed him to outrun the rest of Dallas' defense for this impressive "Monday Night Football" touchdown.
