Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors suffered yet another humiliating loss 129-99 to the Sacramento Kings tonight. The Kings absolutely decimated the Warriors, who barely put up a fight. At this point, the Warriors need to make some big changes, as they are 4-6 in their last 10 games, and currently hold an 18-17 record.
Stephen Curry did play well, putting up 26 points (8-12 FG), seven rebounds, and one steal. Andrew Wiggins also did his best, with 18 points (7-13 FG), four rebounds, and one assist. Draymond Green was a strong contributor, with 10 points (4-8 FG), four rebounds, four assists, two steals, and one block.
Despite not having De'Aaron Fox on the court, the Kings were dominant tonight. Malik Monk delivered 26 points (9-13 FG), 12 assists, three rebounds, four steals, and one block. Domantas Sabonis also did well, with 22 points (10-13 rebounds), 13 rebounds, and seven assists. Kevin Huerter came off the bench with a strong 16 points (5-7 FG), one rebound, and two steals.
The Warriors were abysmal tonight, barely putting up a fight against the Kings. It was yet another disappointing outing from the 2022 NBA champions, as their slump in form continues. Their front office needs to become active and try to move some players around if they want to redeem this season and make a playoff run.
Fans of Golden State were utterly disappointed and disgusted with their team's performance. Many of them slammed the front office for not making any moves and talked about how other teams look at them.
"Warriors getting destroyed at home to the Kings without Fox but everyone on this stacked 18-16 team is untradeable let’s keep waiting for the perfect player."
"I assure you teams are laughing at the Warriors and frothing at the mouth to play them LMAO."
"Warriors beat the 3 seed without Steph last night but are getting smack by the bum a** Kings with him tonight?"
"The Kings are flat-out clowning the Warriors. Just an embarrassing performance. What else can you say?"
"We just gotta accept Curry retiring with 4 rings."
"Just think about it. They have 37-year-old Stephen Curry who is still playing elite basketball playing with Lindy Waters III, Kyle Anderson, Pat Spencer, and Moses Moody. He will go out just like Kobe."
"Warrior fans is the season over?"
"Kerr has lost it. I’m done with 3-4 guard lineups."
"The Kings ran away with the game from the first quarter. The Warriors looked sloppy, unfocused, and unmotivated tonight. The Dubs deserved to get their butts kicked."
"It's frustrating to watch them lose like this."
The Warriors will need to address their problems going forward. Steve Kerr must settle on a 9-10 man rotation that he relies upon consistently, as their large rotation has now started to cost the team some big wins.
The Warriors face the Heat on Tuesday night at 10 PM EST. Perhaps this will give their two front offices the chance to get in a room and work out a deal for Jimmy Butler, which would catapult the Warriors back to contention status,
