Vikings WR Justin Jefferson could be in line for a massive game on Sunday vs. Packers

The Minnesota Vikings are heading into Sunday's border battle with the Green Bay Packers relatively healthy. The only player that will be out for the Vikings is inside linebacker Ivan Pace Jr. who is still during the ankle injury he suffered last Thursday during practice.

For the Packers, it's a little more murky. Offensive lineman Jordan Morgan is out and cornerback Carrington Valentine is doubtful. They will be missed but it's the two questionable Packers that will be the focus: quarterback Jordan Love and cornerback Jaire Alexander.

Justin Jefferson could be in for a career day

Jefferson has had success against the Packers in the past, including eight receptions for 169 yards and two touchdowns in 2021 and nine catches for 184 yards and two touchdowns in 2022.

His path to success might be getting easier on Sunday. Alexander being listed as questionable is a big deal, especially since he was downgraded from limited to not practicing on Friday. That kind of downgrade late in the week is a really bad sign for the Packers.

The Vikings also will have wide receiver Jordan Addison returning from injury as he doesn't have an injury designation heading into Sunday's game. The Vikings are 12th in dropback EPA/play and ninth in success rate despite Addison missing the last nine quarters of football.

With Addison returning, that will take some of the pressure off of Jefferson and stress out the secondary more, which in turn will make things easier for the Vikings to attack down the field, even more so if they are missing two of their cornerbacks.

The game kicks off at noon on Sunday and it could mean a monster game for the best receiver in the National Football League.
