They Gotta Wash That Man Right Out of Their Hair: The Bold and the Beautiful Two Scoops for the week of June 23, 2025

The Bold and the Beautiful often feels like it's on rinse and repeat, but never more so than where Ridge, Taylor, and Brooke are concerned. And it's getting older than ever as the characters mature and everyone around them rolls their eyes cause they all know what's coming.

The Bold and the Beautiful

Two grown women, one RIDICULOUS man

At least B&B added someone new into the mix for this latest go-around, but alas, Nick's presence is only temporary, and he is set to sail again out of Brooke's life by summer's end. For now, she has quite a distraction, but when has a distraction ever been good enough for Brooke where Ridge is concerned? That one-track mind always takes over as soon as Ridge even takes a small breath in Brooke's presence.

And what about Taylor? How ridiculous did she seem this week, proposing to Ridge the way she did? How can she even fathom that she is nothing but a rebound...again? Ridge literally had her in the bedroom, not even 15 minutes after learning Brooke had taken the Forrester CEO position after Carter and Hope's coup. She should just have "Rebond Girl" tattooed on her head at this point.

The best thing B&B ever did was make Taylor and Brooke BFF's for a whole five months two years ago. They finally knew how pathetic they had been for years, had girls' nights where they'd drag Ridge for snoring and other basic annoying habits, and were ready to toss Ridge out with the trash, as he had done to them so many times before. WHAT HAPPENED?!?!?

Now, they are right back where they started, and why?!?!? What is so appealing about this man who suddenly developed an accent in his 50s when he never had one before? It makes zero sense that these two women can't get over this one guy, and it's hard to tell which woman is more pathetic.

Destiny or dignity?

While some would say it's time for Ridge to make a choice once and for all, maybe it's really time for Brooke to make that choice. She has always been Ridge's second choice, from day one. She fell for him the moment she saw him way back in 1987, but he was already engaged to Caroline Spencer, and that is who he chose to wed. He also chose Taylor after Caroline died. Sure, he'd end up with Brooke here and there and even married her about a dozen times, but if a dozen trips down the aisle keep ending the same way, maybe it really is time to move on...and on...and on.

The older this brilliant chemist gets, the more jarring it is how young and childlike Brooke always seems when it comes to Ridge. Even when he inevitably dumps Taylor and wants Brooke again, why should Brooke lower herself to want him? How can she allow a man back into her bed who hopped into the sack with her alternate prize the second they had one bitter argument? It's what Ridge ALWAYS does, and it should be degrading and humiliating, but Brooke always keeps going back for more.

Nick already told her it would happen. Katie wondered why Brooke won't give Nick a look. And Hope? She is so happy to see the man she once thought of as a dad that we expect her to plan a wedding for Nick and her mom before she even plans her wedding to Carter. Get the hint, Brooke, cause everyone is knocking you over the head with it.

The Sting...is kinda foolish

What the heck was happening in Steffy's living room? | Image: CBS

What did we watch take place in Steffy's living room and Luna's one-room apartment this past week? What a comedy of errors from people who should not be trying to solve crimes — including the professional.

First, we want to know what judge signed off on a warrant to entrap a woman without any actual evidence that she was planning to do anything wrong? A gut feeling and some unsolicited text messages to Will Spencer are not probable cause. Second, if someone plans to get someone to talk by seducing them, then maybe place the wire somewhere else. Ya think?

There was no place less conspicuous than his chest, complete with very visible tape. Like maybe a hidden mic in his pocket would have also worked, and Luna would have been none the wiser. But nope, we got the most obvious wire imaginable, which we guess is par for the course for this story full of more holes than Swiss cheese.

And, OF COURSE, Luna was going to catch on to Will's game. We have never seen anything more obvious in our soap-watching lives, as Will asked leading question after leading question. They are lucky Luna pulled a gun at the last minute, cause otherwise, nothing she said would have been admissible in court. "Getting rid" of someone does not necessarily mean murder. Any jury would wonder if Luna was just trying to break Finn and Steffy up.

And that scene at Steffy's kitchen table? What even was that? Steffy was hilarious as she kept rolling her eyes every time Luna mentioned her awesome sauce dad, whom she just wanted to know better. All Electra could do was pout every time she saw Will kiss Luna. And Finn? Welp, he looked as helpless and clueless as he always does.

Liam, anyone?

But, um, where the heck was Liam? He just spent the last two weeks thinking about nothing but Luna and what a danger he was to Steffy, but then he was completely missing from this week's action. He lives with Steffy now and barely travels on his own, so was he in the broom closet off the kitchen that he keeps emerging from while an entire sting operation was happening on the other side of the door? How did he miss it?

Till next week, Scoopers, when Liam will likely appear out of nowhere and rescue Steffy from whatever lunacy Luna has planned.
