Bold & Beautiful has really done a bang-up job of trashing Bill for the last couple of years. From his instantly falling for Poppy and then overnight forgetting that he ever cared about her to getting Luna put on mansion arrest and then altogether paroled, he has been turned into someone that we barely recognize. But all is not lost. He could be reset, and fast, if only the show would bring back…
Morgan DeWitt. “Who?” you ask. “Morgan,” we reply. She was Ridge’s old flame whom Stephanie forced to have an abortion back in the day. The model-turned-designer returned to L.A. with a screw loose, kidnapped lil’ Steffy and raised all kinds of havoc before being sent packing. Were she to come back now, older and saner, she could be just the person to help Bill get his groove back.
Picture it. The two of them could meet some night at Il Giardino. They’d recognize each other at once: Morgan’s famous from her modeling days, and Bill is of course a well-known tycoon. But, given their high profiles, they’d also be aware of each other’s… let’s say… difficulties. “Not many places I can go where my reputation doesn’t precede me,” Morgan admits.
“There are even fewer places I can go where my past doesn’t follow me,” Bill replies.
The two of them would insist that they’ve seen the error of their ways; the trick is getting anyone to believe it. “If actions speak louder than words,” Morgan suggests, “maybe that’s what we need to do — take action. Prove that we’re done apologizing for the things that we’ve done.”
When Bill asks if Morgan has something specific in mind, she comes up with an idea, something that could be theirs, all theirs — a new fashion company to call their own. “Wouldn’t that seem like we were just going after Forrester?” Bill wonders. “People probably wouldn’t say that that screams ‘changed people.’”
“That’s the beauty of the idea,” Morgan replies. “We’d be done trying to show other people that we’ve changed. We’d be doing this for ourselves. And if people like, say, Ridge don’t like it… well, nobody ever said that we were going to be saints, now did they?”
