The Golden Bachelorette's Joan Vassos and Chock Chapple may appear to be more in love than The Golden Bachelor's Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist, but really, they're exactly the same. Both relationships have been manufactured in a television studio between people who barely know each other. Though 61-year-old Joan and 60-year-old Chock seem to be really in love with each other, 72-year-old Gerry and 70-year-old Theresa were once in love too.

Joan made her television debut during The Golden Bachelor season 1, but she left Gerry's season due to a family emergency. She was cast as The Golden Bachelorette, and she dated 24 single Golden men, including Chock. Though Joan liked several of the men, she gave her final rose to Chock, and the couple are now engaged. Though Joan and Chock seem blissfully happy now, they may end up just like Gerry and Theresa.

If ABC gets their way, The Golden Bachelorette's Joan and Chock will walk down the aisle in another televised Golden Bachelor wedding event, but it could end just as badly as the first time around.
