Champ Bailey is one of the greatest players to ever put on the orange and blue for the Denver Broncos. While the youths today have Pat Surtain II to watch lock down an entire side of the field, the older folks had the same with Bailey.
Now, Broncos fans who are also into college football will have a chance to see one of the franchise’s all-time greats on their television every weekend with TNT Sports. The company announced its commentator teams for the inaugural Big 12 season, and Bailey will be one of three football analysts in the studio breaking down the games.

Former NFL players Takeo Spikes and Victor Cruz will also be joining Bailey as analysts. They will be paired with host Adam Lefkoe.
Bailey, 47, retired from professional football in 2014 and was nominated to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2019. He began his career with Washington before he was traded to the Broncos in exchange for Clinton Portis in 2004, where he played until 2013. In his 10 seasons in the Mile High City, he made three All-Pro First-teams, two All-Pro Second-teams and eight Pro Bowls (he made four more Pro Bowls in Washington). He was also voted as the runner-up for the Defensive Player of the Year Award in 2006, coming up short to Jason Taylor of the Miami Dolphins.
He was a studio analyst for TNT Sports last year for the network’s coverage of Mountain West college football.
TNT announced its schedule for the first three weeks of the college football season, starting with the Week 1 matchup between Arizona and the Hawaii, which will see Bailey in action for the pregame, halftime and postgame shows starting at 8:00 p.m. MDT. In Week 2, the network will have No. 23 Texas Tech against Kent State at 10:00 a.m. MDT while Week 3 will see Bailey and the rest of the crew covering No. 11 Arizona State against Texas State at 8:30 p.m. MDT. No further games/times have been announced.
There is a good chance that Bailey could end up in Boulder one time this year for one of the Colorado Buffaloes’ seven home games. There are still five games on the schedule that have not had a TV designation announced, which leaves the possibility of TNT coming to town up in the air.
