Although Joan and Chock seem to really love each other after meeting on The Golden Bachelorette season 1, the distance might tear them apart. Long-distance relationships are notoriously difficult, and relationships require sacrifice. Will Chock be able to give up his beloved home in the name of love, and can their relationship survive if he doesn't?
Chock Chapple's Nine-Year Engagement Sets a Precedent
He May Not Want To Rush Into Marriage
Chock and Joan hit it off immediately on The Golden Bachelorette, and Joan decided to spend her first one-on-one date with him. Their connection stayed strong throughout the series, and Chock proposed to Joan. While the engagement happened quickly, Chock's past indicates he may not rush the rest of their relationship.

Chock Doesn't Want To Leave Wichita
He Loves His Life In The Midwest
Chock has been very open about his love for Wichita. In fact, his Instagram bio begins with the name of the city. In that bio, he tags The Golden Bachelorette and his own insurance business. Although he admits his family has moved away, he's built a life for himself in Kansas, and he clearly hopes Joan also takes a liking to the city. According to him, Joan's already fallen in love with the low cost of living and the cheap foot massages available in town.
However, Joan loves the East Coast. She's originally from Maryland and has had her sights set on New York City. Recently, Joan traveled to NYC without Chock to host a podcast with fellow Bachelor Nation alum Charity Lawson. Chock stayed in Wichita instead of accompanying his fiancé when it meant leaving his beloved home. If Joan has her heart set on settling down on the East Coast, I think Chock will need to move to be with her, or the relationship may not survive.
