The Golden Bachelorette: Joan Vassos Should Be Canceled (She Probably Won't Move For Love Or Make Real Sacrifices For A Relationship With Chock Or Anyone Else) SPOILERS

This article contains possible The Golden Bachelorett spoilers. The Golden Bachelorette star Joan Vassos is impressive at a glance, but under the surface, she may have issues serious enough to warrant her cancelation. She debuted on The Golden Bachelor with Gerry Turner, but was destined to be rejected by the show's leading man. She rallied, getting cast in an exciting new spin-off that allowed her to pick from a host of interesting suitors, including "hot dad" Mark Anderson and well-to-do control freak Chock Chapple.

The Golden Bachelorette: 10 Reasons Joan Vassos Won't Find True Love On The Show

The finale's looming, so it's time to talk about why Joan might be bad for the franchise, and let fans down in the end.

Joan used her sensitivity and low-key charm to get closer to Gerry on The Golden Bachelor, but ultimately, her efforts were futile. He chose another woman instead. His final pick, Theresa Nist, is a good woman, just like Joan is. The issue is that Gerry may have been on the show to chase clout, rather than genuinely wanting to connect with a potential life partner. Theresa and Gerry weren't meant to last, and they divorced just months after their "fairytale" wedding. So, Joan went into The Golden Bachelorette after experiencing rejection. That may not be the best starting point.

Joan May Not Be Willing To Move For Love

Is She Too Happy In Rockville, Maryland?

According to Reality Steve and other recent spoilers, Joan chooses Chock and he "puts a ring on it." Their rapid-fire romance has been playing out onscreen. Joan seems to appreciate Chock's "alpha male" approach, even though it could be a red flag. On their bowling date, he was glued to her side, acting like a husband. Some people like this stuff and others don't. Everyone is different.

She's allowed to like what she likes, but if Chock asks her to move away from her family, what will she say? This is why she may not be the perfect reality star. Maybe she's been a bit deceptive, pretending she's ready to go all in with someone when she's actually pretty set in her ways, and totally unwilling to change.

Chock lives in Wichita, Kansas. He's established in the area, and known for his success in the insurance niche. If he wants Joan to join him there, she could balk and destroy their whole relationship. Location could be a deal-breaker.

If Joan went on the show knowing that she'd never change her living situation for anyone, because she loves her family so much, maybe she's a bit shady. There's no proof of this, but it's not impossible. She might enjoy the fame, the flirting... whatever. However, when the rubber meets the road, Joan might find that the life she has now makes her happier than a new life with someone else ever could.

Maybe Joan Will Be Happier On Her Own

This Show Can Test People

With age comes wisdom, usually. See Joan in her element in the Instagram post shown above. People learn more about themselves, and if they want happiness, they spend most of their time doing what they love. Joan is all about family, and if she's forced to choose between her life in Maryland and a new life in Kansas, she may realize that she just doesn't want it. In fact, she might have secretly decided that already.

Gerry and Theresa faced this issue. They learned the hard way that relocating for a partner is tough to do. Neither could find the motivation to go that far for love. That's probably because they already have love at home - a lot of love. They have children.

The Golden Bachelorette is an interesting social experiment. The people who appear on the show have lived for quite a while - they are not impulsive twentysomethings. To get people like this to dramatically change their lives for others isn't easy. So, the true fairytale ending could be completely impossible. Joan may prove people wrong, but sadly, she might prove that real happiness can't be found on the series due to living situations and more.

The Golden Bachelorette airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.
