The Golden Bachelor's Gerry Turner has been the target of criticism since his divorce, but Gerry wants everyone to know that he's still got it. The 72-year-old was introduced to several women in their 60s and 70s when he was announced as the first Golden Bachelor. After dating 22 women, who were mostly, widowers and divorcees, Gerry gave his final rose to 70-year-old Theresa Nist. Gerry proposed and Theresa accepted during the finale episode.
The Golden Bachelor season 1 couple were married a few short weeks later, in January. Though hopes were high for Gerry and Theresa, the couple announced their divorce in April, less than four months after their dream wedding. Since the divorce announcement, all eyes have been on Theresa and the fact that she's been doing well since the split. Not wanting to be left out, Gerry wants everyone to know that he's doing great post-divorce.

Since the split, there has been a lot of speculation about Gerry's love life. During a recent interview, Gerry told TMZ that though he's not ready to start dating again, he has been receiving romantic offers. According to Gerry, women have been sending him messages via his DMs and have even approached him in person, giving him their phone numbers. Gerry claims not to have contacted any of the women yet, but he wants everyone to know that he's got options.
According to reporting by IndyStar, Gerry was recently spotted at a dating event, though he appeared to be hosting, not participating. On May 17, the newly single retiree attended the TinCaps Love and Roses Night event in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The event includes a series of challenges in which singles compete for a Fort Wayne dating package.

Gerry had been married to his wife of 43 years, Toni Turner until she died after a brief illness in 2017. Her beloved husband of 42 years, William Nist, passed away in 2014. Hopes were high that the two widowers had found a second chance at true love, but the Golden marriage quickly fell apart.
