The mom of three and the Fabulicious! cookbook author spoke with The Daily Dish this week, where she revealed that she has plans to open up a restaurant in her home state of New Jersey. Teresa said that she would recruit her four daughters — including eldest daughter Gia Giudice — to help run the Italian restaurant, featuring family recipes.
"Gia will be helping. She would want to work there also and help me," she explained in the exclusive interview. "And the girls, too. So it'd be like, me and the girls."
Teresa also noted that her husband Luis "Louie" Ruelas would be on hand to help out with the operations, in addition to Louie's oldest son, Louie Jr.
Inside Teresa Giudice's plans to open a restaurant in New Jersey
But, this restaurant is not set in stone just yet. "I'm in the process of doing that, so it's....actively looking at places," she explained, noting that she doesn't "know if it's gonna happen."
"I'm hoping to lock it in before the end of the year, but I'm working on it," she said.
This Italian restaurant would feature "all" of the recipes from Teresa's late mother, Antonia Gorga. "I've always wanted to open up a restaurant and finally now, I'm like, you know what, I'm gonna do it," she continued.
However, Teresa is hopeful that if it does happen, it will give her something new to focus on as two of her daughters are now in college and her youngest daughter Audriana Giudice just turned 15 years old.
"I think my plate will be very full with that, I'll be very content with that," she concluded.
Teresa Giudice says she "learned" how to cook at home
During the E! series House of Villains Season 2, Episode 2, Teresa cooked for her fellow cast members and revealed where she learned how to cook during a confessional in the episode. "I grew up in an old-school Italian family," she explained in the episode.
"I'm first generation," she continued. "What I learned to do, was cook. I have four cookbooks and right now I'm working on opening up a restaurant with my daughter Gia."
Teresa Giudice's Daughters Reveal Her Best Dishes
During a recent trip home from college at the University of Tampa, Teresa's second youngest daughter, Milania Giudice, showed off her favorite meal that Teresa makes for her. In two separate videos, posted to Milania's TikTok account, Teresa and Gabriella can be seen shopping for ingredients to make her favorite meal, steak pizzaiola.
"Every time I come home and want a home-cooked meal, it's steak pizzaiola," Milania explained in the video. "I love steak pizzaiola."
Gabriella Giudice was also recently home from college (she attends the University of Michigan) and a special pasta dish was on the menu, according to Teresa: “Gabriella’s home so I made tagliatelle with peas and ham. That’s what she requested.”
