Melissa Gorga reignited the 2011 sprinkle cookie feud with estranged sister-in-law Teresa Giudice once again. But this time, she’s making a business out of it – and the Real Housewives of New Jersey OG seemingly reacted to Melissa’s new endeavor by shading her on social media.
“Introducing Sprinkle by MG! My passion for sprinkle cookies is finally available for you! With @sprinklebymg The ultimate sprinkle butter cookie that’s as chic as it is delicious! Trust me … you will NOT want to throw these in the garbage,” Melissa, 45, captioned her Monday, December 9, Instagram post. “Don’t miss out — order now and make your celebrations even sweeter! Head to www.sprinklebymg.com and grab yours in time for the Holidays.”
Tre, 52, seemingly responded to the Envy founder’s news via X the following morning, writing, “You’re welcome.”
While some, including RHONJ stars Danielle Cabral, Rachel Fuda and Margaret Josephs, congratulated Melissa on her new sweet treats, others slammed her for profiting from Teresa.
“Everything you do is about Teresa. It’s weird,” one fan wrote, while a second commented, “You and your husband should thank his big sister every day for the opportunities she has afforded you both. Well done.”
That said, the bio on the official Sprinkle by MG website says otherwise.
“Melissa Gorga’s iconic passion for sprinkle cookies became the foundation for her new brand, Sprinkle by MG,” the text reads. “While the love for these cookies originated from her childhood, Melissa saw the opportunity to elevate them into a must-have for every family.”
The brand claims to curate “fun” and “nostalgia” for gatherings “because the right sprinkle cookie is always in style!”
“When we were developing the formula, it was important to me that the cookie stayed fresh — never frozen — and tasted as amazing as it looked,” Melissa wrote in the statement. “The flavor had to be authentic, so we use real almond paste for that hint of almond, pure vanilla bean extract, and real butter. These aren’t just any sprinkle cookies. My vision was to create a butter cookie that’s as exceptional as it is delicious! I hope you enjoy!”
Fans can purchase the desserts on the website, which offers 12 packs of various-colored sprinkle cookies that retails at $29.99 before tax.
During Melissa’s debut season as a New Jersey Housewife in 2011, she and Teresa separately recalled the time Melissa brought sprinkle cookies to Teresa’s past Christmas party.
“She brought me sprinkle cookies. I said to her, ‘Melissa, nobody touched the cookies you brought. I threw them in the garbage!’” Teresa said during a dinner with now former costars Caroline Manzo and Jacqueline Laurita. “You know what my favorite cookies are? Pignoli cookies. That’s all I said.”
The scene cut to Melissa and husband Joe Gorgas‘ dinner with her family and Kathy Wakile, where she told her side of the story.
