Shep Rose shared his thoughts on a potential relationship with Molly O'Connell during the Southern Charm After Show.
During Season 10, Episode 10 of Southern Charm, we learned a little bit more about Molly O'Connell's crush on Shep Rose. And now, on the Southern Charm After Show, we get to learn what the Southern gentleman thought of the belle's reveal.
"I’d heard around the campfire that Molly was sort of into me. I mean, I've known Molly for 10 years, more than that. She had a little thing with Whitney [Sudler-Smith]. And then she sent me up with one of her friends after Taylor [Ann Green], so I didn't think that there was any interest there. Then apparently some developed," he said.
As for why they didn't hook up at the time? Shep was dating Sienna Evans and didn't want his love life to be any more complicated.
"Obviously, things were puzzling to me at the time, but hooking up with somebody else would have would have screwed my head up even more," he explained.
That's not to say that Shep wasn't interested in Molly herself. As he told Austen Kroll on the After Show, "She's so real and so honest and she doesn't hold anything back. And authentic. Those are all wonderful qualities."
What does Molly O'Connell see in Shep Rose?
Molly explained on the Southern Charm After Show that in addition to the fact that they're both tall and would have cute kids, she appreciates Shep's intelligence and morals (at least most of the time).
"I've always thought Shep's a super handsome guy and is very smart," she explained. "Intelligence is very attractive to me. Like politically, morally. I mean, obviously he cheated on Taylor, so not that part of the moral thing. Although, I mean, hey, I've been a terrible girlfriend too."
So ... why haven't they dated?
"On paper, you know, everything is what I would like," Molly said. "But we've been in Charleston forever and nothing ever happened."
