RHOC's Shannon Storms Beador and Alexis Bellino are both sharing new details about the gift.
As fans saw on The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 18, Episode 13, Shannon Storms Beador didn't find Alexis Bellino's literal olive branch very genuine.
"Alexis sent me flowers with an olive branch in it," explained Shannon during a recent exclusive interview at Bravo HQ (which you can check out above). "Thank you, but I'm not interested in an olive branch. I'm not. So sorry.
"Once again, there was so much manipulation behind it," she continued before speculating about Alexis' motivations for sending the gift. "Like, do ya think that I don't have anything going on [in my head]? Because, OK, you know that a trip's coming up and I don't like you. So, let's send her some flowers with an olive branch and be super cute."
As Shannon mentioned, she thought the olive branch came at too opportune a moment: right before the women were embarking on a trip to London that Alexis wasn't invited to. However, Alexis didn't see it that way — she claims she simply wanted to be cordial with her fellow cast member.
"I'm not asking her to be my friend," Alexis said in her own interview at Bravo HQ. "There's no way we could be friends. I know that. However, we are in the same circle of women and I just wanted the animosity to kind of squash. That was my point with the olive branch, and it's her birthday. So, okay, it was the perfect opportunity."
Ultimately, though, "Nothing worked to try to make anything civil out of our group of friends with Shannon," Alexis concluded.
What did Shannon Beador's text to Alexis Bellino say?
After receiving the bouquet, Shannon sent Alexis a text that read: "Hello Alexis. It's Shannon Beador. I am hosting a trip to Europe with my friends and just wanted to make it clear that you are not invited. That should be quite understandable given the circumstances. Thank you for the flowers, but I am not interested in an olive branch."
Heather Dubrow reacts to Alexis Bellino's olive branch gesture
Because everyone was there to witness the gesture, other 'Wives had some thoughts on the matter — namely, Heather Dubrow, who's friends with both Shannon and Alexis.
As Heather explained in her own Bravo HQ video, "It was a really nice gesture for Alexis to send flowers. I like the olive branch. But the timing of it, you know, felt suspect to Shannon."
"There's so many misfires on both sides, it's been incredibly hard to be friends with Shannon and Alexis," she continued. "I understand how they both feel. It resonates with me. I'm not sure either of them are handling it the way they should, but I don't blame them. I don't know, it's a really hard place to be. I care about both of them."
