SEC opponents will be played by Massachusetts this season. The Minutemen play Missouri on Saturday, Mississippi State on Nov. 2 and Georgia on Nov. 23. UMass has an 0-11 record against SEC opponents. Missouri will become the first SEC team to play at McGuirk Alumni Stadium in Amherst. Mississippi State visited the Minutemen in 2016, but that game was played at the New England Patriots’ stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, which is about 90 miles east of Amherst.

12 Victories without a loss for LSU in night games at Tiger Stadium since Brian Kelly became the team’s coach. No. 9 Ole Miss and No. 13 LSU square off at 6:30 p.m. CDT Saturday in Baton Rouge. The 113th meeting between the rivals will be the 12th with both ranked in the AP Poll. LSU holds a 7-4 record in the previous ranked-vs.-ranked games in the series.

17 Of the past 18 Florida-Tennessee games have featured at least 21 points for the Gators, who have won 16 of the contests. Florida and Tennessee will square off for the 54th time on Saturday. The Volunteers enter the game having held each of their past six opponents to fewer than 20 points. Florida has scored at least 26 points against Tennessee in each of their past nine meetings.

27 Consecutive home games have been won by Georgia, the longest such streak in school history and the longest current streak in the nation. The home streak began with a 21-0 shutout of Kentucky on Oct. 19, 2019, a week after a 20-17 loss to South Carolina at Sanford Stadium. Georgia also has the SEC’s longest active winning streak in October. The Bulldogs have won 13 in a row in the 10th month since a 41-24 setback against Alabama on Oct. 17, 2020. Mississippi State visits Georgia on Saturday.

33 Years since Kentucky and Vanderbilt entered their annual meeting with both teams coming off a victory. In their most recent contest before Saturday’s game, the Commodores defeated No. 1 Alabama 40-35 on Oct. 5 and the Wildcats defeated No. 6 Ole Miss 20-17 on Sept. 28. Before their 1991 meeting, Vanderbilt defeated Army 41-10 and Kentucky defeated Cincinnati 20-17. The Commodores then defeated the Wildcats 17-7 on Nov. 9, 1991. Kentucky leads the series 49-43-4. The teams have played annually since 1953.

40 Years since the previous time that Texas entered the Red River Rivalry ranked No. 1 in The Associated Press Poll. The No. 1 Longhorns take on Oklahoma for the 120th time on Saturday. In 1984, No. 1 Texas and No. 3 Oklahoma tied 15-15. The Longhorns have played as the AP’s No. 1 team against the Sooners three other times, winning 20-13 in 1946, 28-7 in 1964 and 19-0 in 1965. Texas leads the series 63-51-5, but the Sooners have a 24-16-3 record when both teams are ranked, including four consecutive victories in that circumstance. The teams have met annually since 1928, and this is the first time in that span that both are entering the game off open dates. Saturday’s game will mark the 88th straight season that Oklahoma and Texas have squared off at the Cotton Bowl, with the Longhorns holding a 42-41-4 edge in those games.

40 Consecutive home games have been won in October by Alabama. The Crimson Tide hasn’t been beaten at Bryant-Denny Stadium in the 10th month since South Carolina took a 20-3 victory on Oct. 2, 2004. During that winning streak, Alabama has a 27-7 record on the road in October. South Carolina visits Alabama on Saturday.

68 Years since Mississippi State won in Athens, where the Bulldogs will take on Georgia on Saturday. Since MSU beat Georgia 19-7 in a battle of Bulldogs in Athens on Oct. 6, 1956, Mississippi State has lost its 13 games between the hedges.

201.2 Is the passing-efficiency rating for Alabama QB Jalen Milroe this season, the highest in the nation. He’s followed in the ratings by two other SEC quarterbacks – Texas’ Arch Manning at No. 2 at 200.49 and Ole Miss’ Jaxson Dart at No. 3 at 197.87. Passing-efficiency rating uses a player’s rate of completions, touchdowns and interceptions and the average gain per pass to produce its measurement. Milroe has completed 80-of-109 passes for 1,274 yards with 11 TDs and two interceptions. Manning has completed 55-of-78 passes for 901 yards with nine TDs and two interceptions. Dart has completed 127-of-173 passes for 2,100 yards with 13 TDs and two interceptions.
