Commanders QB Jayden Daniels on the sideline for LSU opener

Jayden Daniels is enjoying his final weekend off before his NFL playing career officially begins.

The Washington Commanders rookie quarterback was in Las Vegas Sunday evening for his alma mater, No. 13 LSU’s season opener against the No. 23 USC Trojans.

Before Sunday’s game, Daniels arrived in the LSU locker room to greet his former teammates. Here’s Daniels greeting his ex-backup and the Tigers’ new starting quarterback, Garrett Nussmeier, before the game.

Here is Daniels getting the Tigers hyped up on the sideline:

The game came down to the wire, but unfortunately for Daniels, the Trojans held on for a 27-20 win. USC scored a touchdown with eight seconds remaining to stun LSU.

Now, Daniels returns to the DMV as he prepares for his first official NFL start next week against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
