Seahawks use dynamic kickoff to their advantage, stay in the game vs. 49ers

After getting down 23-3 to the San Francisco 49ers to start the third quarter, the Seattle Seahawks scored just the second touchdown on a dynamic kickoff this season when Laviska Shenault took it 97 yards for a touchdown.

The Seahawks desperately needed the score as they were in danger of allowing the 49ers to run away with the game as they've done multiple times in recent memory.

The first instance of a dynamic kickoff returned for a touchdown happened in week one when Arizona Cardinals running back Deejay Dallas returned it 96 yards for a touchdown to get them within three of the Buffalo Bills.

The return ended up being pivotal to change momentum for the Seahawks. They got a stop on the 49ers and scored on a Kenneth Walker III run to bring it within six points.

If the Seahawks pull off the win, they can thank Shenault for shifting the momentum.
