The Seahawks have added a receiver and an offensive tackle to the roster ahead of Wednesday’s training camp opener.
The Seattle Seahawks added a pair of players on the evening before the start of training camp.
The signing of Marcus Simms was made official on Tuesday afternoon, despite the news being broken last week. The wide receiver and kick returner made his mark with the Michigan Panthers of the USFL/UFL and will look to make the most of his second chance in the NFL with a Seahawks team that could use his speed on special teams.
The Seahawks also announced the signing of Jalen Sundell, an undrafted rookie tackle from North Dakota State, adding depth to an offensive line that looks to improve upon an abysmal 2023 season.
Sundell, who earned first-team FCS All-American honors last season, started 15 games at left tackle and helped the Bison lead the nation in rushing touchdowns while ranking fourth in rushing yards per game. Before being moved to left tackle last season, he was the starting center for three seasons.
With these additions, Seattle is at the maximum 90-man roster limit (with an international player exemption for OL Max Pircher) as training camp is set to begin on Wednesday.
