The Seattle Seahawks are in a tough spot as they look to claw back into the NFC playoff picture after two losses in a row to the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings.
As it stands, they're on the bubble and on the outside looking in, but any hopes they may have of getting back into the playoffs have taken a hit with the news that star running back Kenneth Walker III won't be with them the rest of the way.
He was already ruled out for "Thursday Night Football" against the Chicago Bears, but now it's being reported that the Seahawks are having to put Walker on the IR.
Being placed on the IR means that Walker will have to miss a minimum of four games. Sure, there's a chance the Seahawks could see him again this season, but not only would that mean they make the playoffs, but it would also mean they'd be in the middle of a deep run.
That will be hard to do without Walker, though to be fair to the Seahawks, they have been without him for much of this season. He missed two games with an oblique injury early in the season and then two more in December with a calf injury. He injured his knee in the fourth quarter of Seattle's loss to the Vikings in Week 16.
Rookie running back George Holani was been elevated off the Seahawks' practice squad to be the third running back on the roster behind Zach Charbonnet and Kenny McIntosh.
