Scheana Shay Shuts Down Reports of Pump Rules Cast ‘Holding Out for More Money’

You can’t say much about Vanderpump Rules without Scheana Shay jumping on her podcast and issuing a correction. Her latest episode took a shot at the reports about Season 12, where an insider claimed that salary negotiations were holding back production. According to Scheana, that’s simply not true.

A correction from Scheana Shay regarding Pump Rules Season 12

The original report about stalled salary negotiations came from a “production insider” who also claimed that the fighting amongst the cast had reached a point of no return. On the Scheananigans podcast, she shut all of that down.

“I haven’t heard that personally,” Scheana said. “That’s definitely not me.”

She added, “As far as I know, there’s no holdup around people holding out for more money because I don’t even think the conversations are there yet.”

Either way, Scheana made it crystal clear that she’s fully on board for Season 12. She thinks they “owe it” to the fans, and insisted that she’s still close with everyone in the cast, except for Tom Sandoval.

“I was with Lala [Kent] last night. It was her six-year sober birthday, anniversary, I guess birthday. It’s like a rebirth,” she recalled.

Although Lala recently made headlines for saying that there’s “no more story left to tell” on VPR, Scheana said she wholly disagreed with her friend. She thinks the franchise still has plenty of room to continue to Season 12 and beyond.

Scheana argued, “We owe it to the audience who has followed us for the past 11 seasons to just continue sharing our story, you know? Whether that is onto a new chapter or the final one, I think we’ve at least got one more, but I don’t know anything for sure. That’s just how I feel.”

Vanderpump Rules is available to stream on Peacock.
