Russell Wilson sends message to Seahawks that will make fans tear up

The offseason is often a time for reflection for NFL players. The summer time is not quite as busy for them, and many players get involved in communities, host camps, and take vacations.

For former Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, he made sure to send his appreciation to the team and their fans once again.

The veteran QB spent a decade in Seattle, totaling 37,059 passing yards, 292 passing touchdowns, 4,689 rushing yards, and 23 rushing touchdowns. He is one of the most prolific offensive players in franchise history.

Wilson was named to nine Pro Bowls during his time in Seattle and led the Seahawks to a win in Super Bowl XLVIII.

After his time in Seattle, Wilson joined the Denver Broncos for the past two seasons. Seattle traded Wilson for draft capital and players in a move that few saw coming. Wilson has been banged up a bit more often as a veteran, and the offense did not see expected success under him in Denver.

This offseason, Wilson took his talents to the Pittsburgh Steelers. He's currently in a QB battle with young signal caller Justin Fields to be the starter for the black and yellow. We will see who comes out on top there.

All in all, Wilson was a stand-up player and person for Seattle. His involvement in the community was impressive, and he was always a leader for some extremely talented Seahawks teams during the 2010s.

You can say he will always have a spot in their team's history with how many records he holds, alongside his qualities off the field. You cannot tell Seahawks lore without including the QB.

He'll always be remembered by their fans. Wilson hasn't forgotten about them, either.
