Luis Ruelas has fueled rumors about Jennifer Aydin‘s potential firing from The Real Housewives of New Jersey by “liking” a post about the season 15 cast on Instagram.
As frequent guest star Kim DePaola, 64, weighed in on the latest casting news, which claims Bravo will be moving forward with Teresa Giudice, 52, Melissa Gorga, 45, and Dolores Catania, 53, Luis reacted to an online fan who was upset by the apparent axing of Jennifer, 47, who has been starring on the series since season nine.
“Bravo is so stupid for not keeping Jennifer and Lina. Their friendship would be gold on TV! Lina is flying in Jersey and doing makeovers and celebrity hair, that [is] a show all on its own! Jennifer is hilarious and always has a drama for us to watch unfold. Bravo messed up so bad from the [RHONY] reboot and has not learned their lesson!” wrote Joy Rosenberg.
And as they reshared the post, which Luis “liked,” Taste of Reality on Instagram suggested that Luis’ social media move could be an indicator that there is “some truth” to Jennifer “not being asked back”
As for Kim, she confirmed that all of the season 14 women were “let go” ahead of season 15 before three were pulled back in by the network.
“The women were all officially released from their contracts due to it having been six months since they wrapped any filming related to RHONJ,” she explained to OK! Magazine on February 17. “Due to this, they are technically let go.”
“What I can tell you, though,” she continued, “is that three of the women were given letters by the network to keep them engaged/as a token of good faith to show they’re still interested in working with them. This isn’t necessarily for RHONJ, but they will be working with three of the women in some capacity going forward.”
As Bravo allegedly chose to retain Teresa, Melissa, and Dolores, Margaret Josephs, 57, Danielle Cabral, 39, and Rachel Fuda, 33, have reportedly been booted.
Continuing on, Kim confirmed that the new episodes would likely not air until next year.
“Bravo and Andy Cohen have repeatedly said, nothing will be decided in terms of RHONJ until 2026,” she added. “All of their shows for this year are mapped out and RHONJ is not factored into that.”
As fans may have heard, rumors claiming Jennifer wouldn’t return for season 15 began swirling after her Jersey Mike’s scandal, which saw the mother of five berating employees as “old” and “slow” as she bragged about her wealth.
“There’s no excuse [to do that],” a source previously told OK! Magazine. “And with her ‘apologies,’ she’s more or less doubled down on it. I also believe this has affected her husband’s business. She needs to read the room — look what’s going on in the country and in the world. People are suffering and you’re over there like, ‘My diamonds are real’ and ‘I’m a celebrity.’”
