Real Housewives of Orange County Season 18, Episode 6 Recap: Loose Lips Sink Ships

Real Housewives of Orange County Season 18, Episode 6, “All Up in Gina’s Grill,” showed the women of the OC jetting away for a relaxing trip to La Quinta. Last week’s episode ended a bit tense after the dinner party from hell. Gina hasn’t come out unscathed, as Heather and Emily both have some stuff to get off their chest. But while they are arguing, Tamra, Alexis, Jen, and the new girl, Katie, escape to Big Bear for some R&R.

Jen needs to wise up

After being called dumb in last week’s episode, Jen needed to hit the beach for a bit of grounding. Again, she has shown up in full glam, which I am sure Emily will have something to say about. But the lawyer isn’t wrong for telling Jen to sell her Rolex. And as Heather pointed out, “You can’t just yell at people because they are dumb.”

I am starting to question if everything is working on full cylinders in Jen’s head. The blonde still doesn’t seem to understand that she does owe money to people in the form of back rent pay. The woman is clearly not good with money; but she needs to learn, and fast.

Nmaam Episode 4 Jazz Final

Poor Emily has one too many espresso martinis during Gina’s dinner, allowing her thoughts to flow out of her like Vesuvius onto Pompeii. Perhaps the funniest moment to come from the aftermath of the dinner was finding out that Jen’s precious Rolex couldn’t even tell the correct time. But alas, Jen is over being the punching bag and drops quite the grenade into Tamra’s lap.

Gina has already stated she isn’t thrilled that Tammy Sue, and Emily are bonding. But producers cut to a scene of Gina saying now the two do “this thing of who can be a bigger b*tch.” Rightfully so, Gina feels that this has changed Emily for the worse. Naturally, Tam Tam takes the news personally; this is going to be thrown back into Gina’s face, who, quite frankly, is already going through a lot.

Heather vs Gina round two

Honestly, as if Gina doesn’t have enough on her plate, she once again has to deal with Fancy Pants and her feelings. As the dinner came to an end, Heather made it clear the two had to have a chat at a later time. But while shopping with Emily, Heather opens up more about feeling “betrayed.” The actress asked, “Why didn’t Gina vet the information to make sure it’s accurate? Which it’s not.” Okay, fair point. As we know, text messages aren’t always the best evidence. And this particular screenshot from Katie? A little pathetic.

Heather just wants a chance to explain how upset she is. As for Gina, she is fully aware Heather is “pissed” with her because “she is being cold and distant.” But the realtor thinks that Heather has let it “become this thing in her brain that she can’t let go of.” According to Gina, “Heather is just f*cking sensitive man.” But I get the feeling there is way more to this argument.

Alexis needs to reel it in when it comes to Johnny J. I feel like we’re getting to know John better than we know her. She is done playing nice; not that she ever really was. And Alexis wants to put Shannon on blast. But before she can do that, guess who calls in! John is live and on FaceTime. I will say the man is smiling more. But it could be because Alexis is showing off her bedroom attire as she notes, “We have enough sex without having phone sex.” That’s quite enough, Alexis!

But even the biggest love bubble isn’t stopping Alexis from trying to blow Shannon up. After a bit too much Kirkland vodka, Alexis starts spilling the tea on what John allegedly knows. It turns out that John has videos of Shannon the night she got her DUI. And Alexis isn’t against showing them to the world if necessary.

In a confessional, Jen actually speaks sense as she states, “Has anyone thought what this would do to Shannon? To her family? In my opinion, it’s wrong.”  But Alexis doubles down, saying, “I’ve definitely said a few prayers for her.”

Two RHOC trips, one mind

It’s easy to see that the ladies are having two very different trips. While Tamra and her gang are snow tubing down the mountain, things in La Quinta have gotten very icy. Emily and Heather teamed up to express their disdain for Gina as they both practiced the silent treatment. But yet again, another game of telephone seems to have derailed a lovely weekend.

Gina has no energy to defend herself as both Heather and Emily agree that she is the one who has changed. Mind you, they didn’t really give examples, but two against one always wins.

But Shannon making up a rumor about CPS and Gina’s children is not comparable to Heather calling the paparazzi. It just isn’t. Yet again, it is the hotdog that suffers as it gets cold, waiting to be eaten during these petty fights.
