Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson has made his name for the incredible things he has done on the football field, leading to two MVP awards in his career.
But now, it appears that Lamar might be starting a new career path and it's one that we have seen other athletes from all different sports dabble into - acting.
The most recent was Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and his role in Happy Gilmore 2, and now Jackson is set to appear on our screens too...but not in a football game.
Lamar posted on his Instagram page that he is set to appear in the hit TV crime drama Power Book III: Raising Kanan.
Jackson posted on Instagram:
“I’m so excited for fans to see me in this new role and thrilled to be a part of “Power Book III: Raising Kanan.” My character, E-Tone is a deadly, dangerous character- you don’t want to get on his bad side!”
That is quite the career change-up for Jackson and he won't be the last athlete to dabble into acting with Kelce already showing how fun it can be, and now we wait to see Lamar's debut in the show.
Given Jackson's easy-going nature and how he presents himself to the media, it will be an interesting watch to see how he can morph into his character E-Tone, who, by all accounts, won't be someone to be messed with.
We aren't sure when Jackson will be gracing our screens, but one thing is for sure - we are very excited to see his acting debut.
