The Green Bay Packers have been considered to be another “buyer” this off-season when free agency starts on March 12th. This team has cemented themselves as playoff contenders, but are determined to get to that next level.
Adding pieces to the passing game has been listed as a top priority for this team. However, one of those pieces appears to be staying put for now.
Packers’ Free Agent Target Announces Breaking Contract Details (Report)
On Twitter, Cincinnati Bengals’ Wide Receiver announced his contract update:
In one word, Higgins let the world know he was being franchise tagged by Cincinnati. This is the second straight season that the Bengals have used to the franchise tag on Tee Higgins.
With their financial position, the Packers can still make a competitive offer for Higgins via trade. As Green Bay enters the 2025 offseason with just under $50 million in salary cap space, it has the flexibility to sign a high-impact player without compromising other positions.
PFF projects Higgins to sign a four-year deal worth $120 million, with $70 million guaranteed, and ranks him as their No. 1 free agent.
