Justin Tucker has just not been himself this entire season. He has missed enough kicks this year to no longer be in possession of the best field goal percentage of all time, however, he can certainly get that back. The all-time kicker continued his year of struggles against the Pittsburgh Steelers missing two crucial field goals in their 18-16 loss.
Now the kicker has revealed his plans for how to fix the issues and he is certain that he can get back to his legendary self. The Baltimore Ravens will desperately need him playing well in the post-season if they have any hopes of getting to the Super Bowl.
Tucker had missed both a 47 and 50-yard field goal in their divisional loss, and both of those were usually easy makes for one of the greatest to ever do it at that position. That was the key difference in the game that made the Ravens fall to the Steelers, and this will be a crucial part of the Ravens game to keep an eye on as the season ends and the playoffs start.
The star kicker first blamed his issues on the field at the Steelers stadium, but the opposing kicker Chris Boswell has no issues at all making all of his 6 field goals from all over the field.
On Wednesday, the kicker addressed his issues and he feels confident that he can make the right fixes and get back the usual ways:
"Believe me when I say, nobody takes it more personally than I do. Nobody is more affected than me when I miss a kick. So, yeah I take it really personally. "

He also added that the struggle has been consistent so he just needs to make easy fixes to get things back on track:
“The adjustment is pretty clear. I just need to make a point to not let the ball go left,” Tucker said.
Just as Tucker was alluding to, both of Tucker’s kicks went wide left, and other kicks that he has missed throughout the year have had the same issue.
Tucker is way down from his usual percentage of kicks made as he is 16-22 for field goals this season at just 72.7% which is far below his usual and specifically this year he has the lowest percentage of his career. Even with all the misses he is above average in comparison to the rest of the NFL, but these crucial misses are just something that fans have never seen from him in his entire career.
If he can get back on track he will end up being crucial in playoff games for the Ravens as many of them can come down to the kicker in the fourth quarter. He will not be able to get back those crucial kicks against the Steelers, but he can certainly help this team down the stretch of the season.
Can Tucker get things back on track, or is this a sign of things to come for the all-time kicker?
