Kelly Stafford may have recently revealed that her husband Matthew Stafford played through cracked ribs to close out the season. Who knows what else was hurting the NFL veteran quarterback?
Matthew Stafford has survived and thrived as a NFL quarterback because he is about as tough a player as it gets. Everyone in the NFL has to be tough on some level, not everyone is tough at the highest levels. Stafford is. He’s played through a busted shoulder to throw a game winning pass, and that’s just one story we know about.
He’s a special dude, and it might be in the best interest of him and the team to keep sticking together. Time will tell.
In the meantime, thanks for checking out Turf Show Times and have a great Thursday!
“During Wednesday’s “Timeout” edition of her “Morning After” podcast, wife Kelly Stafford revealed the 36-year-old quarterback played through the latter part of the season with cracked ribs, including Sunday’s divisional round loss to the Eagles.
“He got hit in San Fran,” Kelly began, referencing the Rams’ Week 15 win over the 49ers on Dec. 12.
“I remember watching it, [he] looked over to the sidelines and said something, and that night came home, and was like, ‘Yeah, think I cracked my ribs.’ I was like, ‘What?’ And he did, he cracked four ribs, but just didn’t really let anyone in to really know much about it. Continued his everyday process like nothing was wrong, would come home and be miserable.”
“The Philadelphia Eagles are selling the snow collected from the end zone at Lincoln Financial Field during the NFC Divisional Round against the Los Angeles Rams.
What we know:
The Eagles collected snow from the end zone from the Divisional Round game against the Rams on January 19.
The snow comes packaged in ‘insulated containers with dry ice and detailed care instructions,’ according to the team’s shop website, The Realest.
The snow pints are priced at $50”
“Despite Stafford’s recent success, Nick Wright of FS1 has proposed a surprising trade scenario involving Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, a trade that, in his view, would not necessarily benefit the team.
Wright suggested that, if the Rams are seeking to rejuvenate their roster, they should consider trading Stafford to the Miami Dolphins in exchange for quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.”
