Rams React Results: Fans believe in the team’s youth movement

This past April, the Los Angeles Rams made their first opening round selection since 2016, taking Florida State linebacker Jared Verse. Given how long it’s been since the team’s last first round pick, there could be some added pressure on a rookie, but Verse has done nothing but rise to the occasion thus far.

Rams Reacts: Fans believe rookie Jared Verse is in for a huge season - Turf Show Times

Verse was one of the most talked about players coming out of the Rams joint practices with both the Cowboys and the Texans, and it has led to the fan base feeling very confident in the rookie’s ability to impact the team success early. Fans convincingly chose Verse as the player the most expected to lead Los Angeles in sacks this year.

Verse isn’t the only young player that the fans believe will have a huge impact on the 2024 Rams. Second year wide receiver Puka Nacua was also picked as the player most likely to finish atop the Rams receiving yards leaders this year.

Puka finishes with 54% of votes, while Cooper Kupp kept it close with 46% of his own. Nacua was undeniably impressive last season, becoming QB Matthew Stafford’s favorite new target and totaling 1,486 yards, 105 receptions and six touchdowns. That said, Kupp’s ability to finish his first healthy training camp in two years has many believing that he could be regaining his 2021 triple crown season form.

There’s plenty of exciting new changes and players to look forward to for the 2024 Rams, and after last season’s unexpected success with such a young group, fans are feeling good about what LA is doing, with 96% of voters saying are confident in the direction of the team heading into the new year.

I, for one, agree with the fans completely. I am always excited for the Rams opening weekend of football but with rookies like Jared Verse, Braden Fiske and Blake Corum this year seems a little extra special. I do not know what to expect, not just with the rookies, but players entering their sophomore seasons of players like Nacua, Byron Young and Kobie Turner. One things for sure though, we won’t have to wait long to find out because Sunday’s without football are a thing of the past starting this weekend.
