Raiders linked to Micah Parsons trade with Cowboys involving multiple first-round picks

The Las Vegas Raiders could create the ultimate pass-rushing duo by trading for Micah Parsons from the Dallas Cowboys. However, it wouldn't be easy and would cost a fortune.

The Ringer's Steven Ruiz proposes a trade that would send Parsons to Las Vegas, and a package of a 2026 first-round pick, 2026 sixth-round pick, 2027 first-round pick, and a 2027 third-round pick to Dallas. In the proposed deal, the Raiders also get a 2026 second-round pick, along with the superstar edge rusher.

"Las Vegas seems to be operating on a win-now timeline. So to hell with responsible roster management and thinking about the future. The planet is dying, anyway. Pairing Crosby with Parsons wouldn’t just be fun to watch; it would be a terrifying prospect for opposing quarterbacks and offensive coordinators," Ruiz wrote.

Parsons recently requested a trade out of Dallas due to the lack of communication from the franchise on a contract extension. Though Jerry Jones isn't worried about the request, Jones also said that he doesn't know if Parsons will play for the team in Week 1.

If negotiations continue to go poorly, the Cowboys could be forced to trade Parsons at some point. The 26-year-old has already stated that he no longer wants to play in Dallas.

The Raiders have the draft capital to land Parsons, and are also slated to have $77 million in cap space next offseason.

Las Vegas could be hesitant to pay another edge rusher top-of-the-market money, as they just signed Maxx Crosby to a three-year extension worth $106 million. However, a duo of Crosby and Parsons is too good not to consider making a potential blockbuster move.

Since entering the league in 2021, Parsons has tallied four straight double-digit sack seasons and has been one of the most prolific players in the sport. The Penn State product would be a seamless fit in Patrick Graham's defense, and could be the missing piece that elevates the Raiders into a legitimate threat in the AFC.

Obviously, the Cowboys would be foolish to trade away Parsons, but with his relationship with the franchise looking completely broken, it's never been more likely that he could wear a different jersey.
