The most stunning result in the NFL on Sunday had to be the Carolina Panthers going on the road and handing the Las Vegas Raiders a 36-22 defeat. Not only were the Raiders coming off a huge win a week ago in Baltimore, but Carolina looked like the worst team in the league through two weeks and one that was completely incapable of generating offense.
That all changed with the quarterback switch from Bryce Young to Andy Dalton. It was an impressive showing.
Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce did not seem to enjoy watching it from the opposing sideline, and he had some harsh words for the effort of some of his players after the game.
Pierce said the Raiders had several players who made "business decisions" in the game, and that might require them to make some business decisions as a team this week.
Pierce did not specify any names or single out any players, but we will probably get a good idea as to who he is talking about if the Raiders make any starting lineup changes or cuts this week.
Whether it was a matter of effort, poor preparation, looking past a winless opponent or just simply getting outplayed, this was an ugly day for the Raiders. They were heavy favorites against a team that looked like it had a chance to not win a game this season. The loss is a bad look on everybody from the coaching staff to the players.
