Raiders get a gamebreaker in our Combine Week 7-round mock draft

2025 NFL Scouting Combine

The Las Vegas Raiders are in Indianapolis for the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine and here is our latest mock draft ahead of player workouts and interviews

The Las Vegas Raiders are all set to begin their full evaluations of players at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine later this week. The workouts are scheduled as are the interviews and the Raiders, along with the 31 other NFL teams, are raring to see what these young men are made of.

With a full staff in place including offensive coordinator Chip Kelly and defensive coordinator Patrick Graham returning, Pete Carroll and co know what they are looking for in this year’s draft class. John Spytek is taking the reins at General Manager and we should expect a collaborative approach between him and Carroll in their first go-round together.

Carroll has stated this week that he would like to bring back several of the team’s key defensive free agents so we will keep that in mind as we dive into the mock draft. Our next mock draft will have more of the workout numbers from the combine but for now, we will make do with unofficial numbers and other measurables.

Let’s dive in to your combine week mock draft!

6. Ashton Jeanty RB Boise State

Speaking of the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine, one of the biggest names in this year’s draft class in Ashton Jeanty has informed teams that he will not be working out. This is fairly standard for the highest profile prospects as they usually let their game tape and pro day workouts do the talking for them.

So with the top two QBs off the board as well as Travis Hunter, the Raiders opt for a player in Jeanty who could be an absolute game-changer for the team. We have seen this year through Saquon Barkey and Derrick Henry that a running back in the right situation can be a massive game-changer.

Jeanty has everything you look for in a running back with great speed at 4.42 and incredible contact balance and power a guy that is relatively undersized at 5-9 and 215lbs. He lit up the college football world with 2601 yards and 29 touchdowns on 374 carries and could have had much more if he didn’t sit out so many fourth quarters.

There are concerns about his size but he looks to be a generational talent at a position that has seen a massive revival in importance. The Raiders have a clear need at running back as well but he is also the best player available at this point in the draft.

37. Walter Nolen DT Ole Miss

The Raiders reportedly plan to bring back some key free agents at EDGE in Malcolm Koonce and K'Lavon Chaisson and still have Tyree Wilson on the roster so we will operate with that not being a need. Defensive tackle is not a massive need with Christian Wilkins returning and Adam Butler playing well last season, but Walter Nolen is too good to pass up at 37th overall.

The Ole Miss star has a mid-first round projection but he has lasted until the second round in this mock and we happily snatch him up. He measures in at 6-3 and 293lbs and was a disruptive force for the Rebels in 2024 with 6.5 sacks and 14 tackles for loss in 13 games. These are great numbers for an interior defensive lineman and would look great for an EDGE player as well.

There are some concerns about his pad level at times and his relatively short arms in the 48th percentile but he can be coached up where that is not an issue. Nolen looks like an immediate starter for the Raiders and could be a huge difference-maker next to Wilkins and Maxx Crosby.

68. Savion Williams WR TCU

The Raiders have two great receiving options in Jakobi Meyers and Brock Bowers along with a big play threat in Tre Tucker who has shown flashes with a big arm QB under center. They are still missing a big body on the outside however and that is where Savion Williams comes in here in the third round.

Williams is a massive receiver at 6-5 and 225lbs and has scouts salivating because of his combination of size and athleticism. He is a member of Bruce Feldman’s Freaks List thanks to his incredible physical attributes.

"Williams, though, jumps well too, having hit 10-6 on the broad jump and posted a 40-inch vertical. In 2022, Williams made 29 receptions for 392 yards and four touchdowns. The former high school quarterback has incredible arm strength. He can throw it farther than all the TCU QBs. “He threw it about 20 yards further — it was like every bit of 80 yards."
Bruce Feldman on Savion Williams

Williams was a dual threat for TCU in 2024 with 611 receiving yards and 6 touchdowns to go with 322 rushing yards and 6 touchdowns. He was used all over the field by the Horned Frogs and could have a similar impact in Chip Kelly’s innovative offense. He is not the most polished receiver at this point in his career but Kelly can find creative ways to get him the ball and let his physical skills do the talking.

73. Kevin Winston Jr. FS Penn State

This week the Raiders re-signed Isaiah Pola-Mao to a two-year extension and we can expect him to be the starting strong safety in Las Vegas next year. Ideally, the Raiders bring back Trevon Moehring to line up next to Pola-Mao but there have been no reports on that just yet.

Even if they do bring back that duo, the need for depth at safety is still there and so we use the 73rd overall pick on Kevin Winston, Jr. The Penn State product has prototypical measurables at 6-2 and 205lbs with a 4.45 40 and were it not for some injury concerns he would be a top prospect in this year’s class.

Scouts consider him an elite run defender and believe he can be an immediate contributor to any NFL defense with his toughness and smarts. The concerns around him are due to a lack of experience with only 13 starts under his belt and an ACL tear that cut his 2024 season short. If the Raiders feel he is fully recovered then getting him at this point in the draft would be an absolute steal.

107. Quinn Ewers QB Texas

There has been so much QB talk regarding the Raiders this offseason with the Silver and Black being linked to trades for Matt Stafford or Cam Ward via moving up to the number one pick. They have also been linked with spending money on Sam Darnold but until we see concrete news we will operate with the idea that they will pick a QB in the draft.

After missing out on the top-tier guys at the top of the draft, the Raiders roll the dice with an experienced signal caller in Quinn Ewers out of Texas. Ewers has 34 games at Texas under his belt and left as the Longhorns’ all-time winningest QB with 27 victories.

The Texas native is an absolute gamer, showing toughness and the ability to lift his teammates in tough situations. He helped lead Texas to two CFP appearances and has been underrated thanks to the presence of Arch Manning as his backup.

There are concerns about his durability and athleticism but he has solid size at 6-2 and 210lbs and put up big numbers with 9,128 yards and 68 touchdowns in 3 seasons as a starter. He is not as dynamic as some of the other names on the prospect list but he could be a great value pick at this point in the draft.

144. Danny Stutsman LB Oklahoma

The Raiders will be hoping to bring back both Robert Spillane and Divine Deablo this summer but even if they do, some depth at linebacker is a concern. In comes Danny Stutsman to bring some more fire and passion to a linebacking unit with plenty of it.

The Oklahoma product measures in at an impressive 6-4 and 243lbs and plays with a hair-on-fire approach to the game. He was the Sooners’ leader on defense over the last 3 years and brings great smarts and play-recognition ability to the field as well.

There are some concerns about his fluidity and ability to stay engaged in coverage but that can come with time as he works on that aspect of the game. What can’t be coached is passion and leadership ability and he has plenty of that. Special teams is his early avenue to playing time but his combination of size and speed could see him earn his way into the defensive mix very early on.

182. Connor Colby OG Iowa

After focusing on some skill guys and heavy hitters we turn our attention back to the trenches with some much-needed offensive line depth. We can safely assume that the Raiders starters are set on the offensive line but with so much turnover at the positions, depth is key.

With that in mind, we use the 182nd overall pick on Connor Colby out of Iowa State. Colby measures in at 6-6 and 310lbs and is capable of playing both guard and tackle having done so very well for the Hawkeyes. He has plenty of experience with 40 starts and snaps at many positions along the offensive line.

Colby may need to bulk up a bit to hold up against the bigger defensive lineman in the NFL but he has the smarts and technique to build on as a foundation. He could be an immediate starter at guard if needed for the Raiders and can also operate as a swing tackle if needed.

214. Jalen Travis OT Iowa State

We stay in the trenches with another big boy from the state of Iowa but this time, we opt for an offensive tackle in Jalen Travis out of Iowa State. Travis measures in at a massive 6-8 and 341lbs and has an impressive wingspan in the 93rd percentile for his position.

The Minnesota native started his college career at Princeton and started for the Tigers for two seasons before graduating and transferring to Iowa State for the 2024 season. He started 11 games for the Cyclones at left tackle but is adept at playing on either side of the line.

There are some concerns about him playing too upright at this point in his career but that is something that can be coached up with the right guidance. He is a developmental prospect who has plenty of physical tools and potential and can shine if given time to grow into his frame and refine his technique.

218. Ahmed Hassanein EDGE Boise State

Ahmed Hassanein is a great story in college football as he came to the United States from Cairo and never played football before the 2019 season. With a CrossFit background, Hassanein has plenty of athleticism and has shown a great ability to grow and develop his game.

He started his career with Boise State as a rotational defensive tackle but took a star turn in 2023 with 12.5 sacks and 17 tackles for loss in 2023. He followed that up with 16 tackles for loss and 9.5 sacks in 2024 as he helped lead the Broncos to the CFP along with teammate Ashton Jeanty.

The big concerns around Hassanein are his tweener measurables at 6-2 and 273lbs and has short arms for the position. What you are betting on with Hassanein is a player who brings incredible energy and fire to the position and he has yet to reach his full potential. This point in the draft is the perfect time to bet on either incredible physical potential or intangibles and Hassanein has plenty of the latter.

224. Nohl Williams CB California

We end the draft with another defensive back and this time one that played a bit closer to home in Las Vegas. Nohl Williams out of Cal played 3 years for UNLV before transferring to suit up for the Golden Bears in 2023 and 2024.

Williams has good size at 6-1 and 200lbs with a 4.52 reported 40 and has tons of experience. He has over 3,000 snaps at the college level and has played 69 games in 5 seasons. In those 69 games he has an impressive 203 tackles and 14 interceptions, with 7 of those coming in 2024 when he was named a Consensus All-American.

There are concerns about his speed and athleticism but he is a player that could slot in nicely as a depth piece and could make an instant impact on special teams. His experience and ball skills could allow him to also make an impact on defense if given the opportunity.
