The Las Vegas Raiders made plenty of changes this offseason under new general manager John Spytek and head coach Pete Carroll. Most believe that the team is massively improved heading into the 2025 NFL season.Maxx Crosby Makes Personal Announcement Before Training Camp - Yahoo Sports

Quarterback Geno Smith was the first big domino to fall for the Silver and Black, then the new regime attacked the draft with a franchise record 11 selections. Three were used on wide receivers to supplement Jakobi Meyers and Brock Bowers in the passing game.

TCU's Jack Bech, Tennessee's Dont'e Thornton Jr., and Montana State's Tommy Mellott are all fighting for playing time in the Raiders' wide receiver room now ahead of their rookie seasons.

While both Thornton and Mellott signed their contracts shortly after the draft, Bech was caught in the standoff between NFL teams and their second-rounders after the Houston Texans and Cleveland Browns gave their second-rounders fully guaranteed deals.

The Raiders' rookies reported to training camp on Thursday, and on Thursday evening, the team finally agreed to terms with Bech. According to The Athletic's Tashan Reed, it is a four-year deal, but none of the contract's financial pieces have been reported yet.

Bech caught 62 passes for 1,034 yards and nine touchdowns last season for the Horned Frogs and recorded almost 2,000 receiving yards during his college career. He played two years at LSU before transferring to TCU for his final two campaigns.

He will be joining a wide receiver room with both Thornton and Mellott, as well as veterans like Meyers, Tre Tucker, Collin Johnson and Kyle Phillips. Meyers is coming off a career-best 1,027 receiving yards last season.

The focal point of the passing attack will still be First-Team All-Pro tight end Brock Bowers, who caught 112 passes for 1,194 yards and five touchdowns a season ago. However, Bech figures to factor into Chip Kelly's offense in Las Vegas right away.
