During a win against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 9, Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Drake London went down with a hip injury, which created cause for concern about his status moving forward.
London is having a career year with the Falcons, as he’s quickly become one of Kirk Cousins’ favorite targets in the passing game, with 50 receptions for 552 receiving yards and five touchdowns.
With that kind of production, losing London for any amount of time would prove costly to the Falcons and their offense.
Fortunately for Atlanta, London might be back on the field sooner rather than later.
He’s listed as questionable to play against the New Orleans Saints in Week 10, with his head coach optimistic about his status.
“Raheem Morris said he ‘felt good’ about both WR Drake London and C Drew Dalman playing this weekend after practice Friday,” Marc Raimondi of ESPN wrote on X.
Although the Falcons likely will still be fine if London is unable to play, his presence dramatically increases their chances of getting their seventh win of the season.
Atlanta has a tight grip on first place in the NFC South and can continue to separate itself from its rivals if it’s able to get another win against a divisional opponent.
