Former Vanderpump Rules star James Kennedy is all over the headlines. Unfortunately, the news is all about his arrest for domestic violence. James was arguing with his girlfriend Ally Lewber, when he allegedly grabbed her. Now his former fiancée, Rachel Leviss, is speaking out again about James’ arrest, and their relationship.
Rachel reshared a post from December 2018 regarding her relationship with James in her Instagram Stories. In the post, she wrote, “Tonight’s episode was an emotional one for me. Using the word dumb to describe why I choose to stay with James is completely inappropriate.”

People reported that Rachel wrote a note beside the reshared post. She posted, “I stand by what I wrote here. Being in an abusive relationship is confusing because you believe in the potential of your significant other and can’t comprehend how someone who says they love you is intentionally hurting you.”
However, Rachel wasn’t done sharing her thoughts. In another Instagram Stories post, she noted that she has “experienced so many emotions” since James’ arrest. “Feeling happy and vindicated and also so sad and broken. I don’t want this to be brushed under the rug like the times before,” Rachel wrote. “So much of my podcast talks about my experience with coercive control and gaining the insight to overcome it.”
In addition, Rachel’s attorneys for her revenge porn case against Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix, issued a statement about James. “We are aware of James Kennedy’s recent arrest for domestic violence. This news is, unfortunately, not surprising,” Bryan Freedman and Mark Geragos said. “Rachel’s lawsuit describes, in significant detail, Mr. Kennedy’s long history of erratic, violent behavior and substance abuse.”
Sadly, there is also a report that James was allegedly being investigated by Bravo one year before this incident. The reason? Allegedly, James was behaving violently towards women. Since the entire Pump Rules cast was dumped in favor of a new cast of SURVers, we don’t know when, or if, the findings will be released.
Meanwhile, Ally has moved out of her house with James and into an Airbnb following his arrest. It looks like she is taking some time to figure out her next steps.
