Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love has not seen action since he suffered an injury late in Week 1’s loss to Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles in Brazil, but that has not prevented his team from having success on the field.
Despite Love’s absence, the Packers have won two games in back-to-back fashion, thanks in large part to the steady presence under center by his backup and Green Bay newcomer Malik Willis.
The Green Bay Packers’ quarterbacks share a fun moment after win vs. the Tennessee Titans
In a recent post on his Instagram account, Love shared a photo showing him and Willis having a fun moment in the locker room following the Packers’ Week 3 win against the Tennessee Titans last Sunday.
Love could be returning to action soon, as he was only listed as questionable ahead of the Titans game. In any case, Willis has proven himself as a capable temporary quarterback and insurance behind Love.
In the Packers’ 30-14 win against Willis’ former team, the dual-threat quarterback passed for a career-high 202 yards and a touchdown with zero interceptions while connecting on 13 of his 19 attempts.
He also had a rushing touchdown to go with 73 yards on six carries. Before that, Willis has 122 passing yards and a touchdown, and 41 rushing yards in the Packers’ Week 2 16-10 home win versus the Indianapolis Colts.
It is incredible how the Packers have managed to keep their heads above water and even have tremendous success without Love. With or without Love, though, the Packers have a big test ahead, as they are set to face the undefeated Minnesota Vikings at Lambeau Field in Week 4.
