Nick Chubb making one point very clear about the Houston Texans just helped DeMeco Ryans in future offseasons

The Houston Texans are becoming a better and more respectable franchise every single day. And, a big reason why is because of head coach DeMeco Ryans, who now has two playoff wins through two seasons.

With one more playoff win, Ryans would be the most successful postseason head coach in Texans history. With 40 more regular-season wins, he would become the most successful Texans head coach of all time, as he's already third, according to Pro Football History.

He also already has this way about him, a way that makes other players want to play for him. He's already one of the most loved coaches in the league from a player's perspective, and he's definitely earned the status of a coach who draws free agents to Houston.

“Yeah, well, that's the biggest thing is knowing what this team is about from afar. I've always been a fan of [Head] Coach DeMeco [Ryans] and I know some guys on the team," new RN Nick Chubb said as the reason why he chose Houston.

"I know [RB] Joe Mixon, I know what he's about. And I watched him from afar on the sidelines for plenty of years. I know how he runs the ball. And I know the opportunity I had here with this team, being an up-and-coming team. And the past two years, they’ve really turned it on. So, I know I had a chance to come here and win a lot of games surrounded by a great group of people.”

Firstly, Chubb, the former Cleveland Browns superstar, is going to be a huge piece to the offense, maybe as a second running back that can help relieve Joe Mixon or a guy that can be a dynamic duo for the Texans, giving them a fresh set of legs every other play. And one of the biggest reasons the Texans were even able to get him is because of Ryans.

The Texans haven't always been a team like that. As a matter of fact, I'm not sure they have ever been like that, even back to the Bill O'Brien and Gary Kubiak days. Ryans is unlike any other coach we have seen, and hearing a comment like this from Chubb will only make more top players want to play for him in the future.
