The NFL described Lamar Jackson and his career perfectly after the Baltimore Ravens quarterback made NFL playoff history on Saturday.
Jackson led the way for the Ravens in their dominant 28-14 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. The dual-threat QB completed 16 of his 21 passes for 175 yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing 15 times for 81 yards on the ground.
In the process, Jackson secured a major career milestone. The NFL made the announcement after the game, sharing that the Ravens signal-caller's 602 career rushing yards are the most in playoff history by a quarterback.
"Gr8tness," the NFL wrote in the caption of its post on Instagram, with the No. 8 referring to Jackson's jersey number.
It is worth noting that Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen broke the record on Sunday, less than 24 hours after Lamar Jackson had set it. Allen increased his playoff rushing yards tally to 609 after recording eight carries for 46 yards on the ground in their 31-7 win over the Denver Broncos.
Still, there's no denying that what Jackson has accomplished in his career screams greatness. He'll already go down as one of the best quarterbacks and likely the best dual-threat QB in the history of the game.
When Jackson and Allen meet again in the Divisional Round, the Ravens QB will have a chance to reclaim the QB rushing yards playoff record and further cement his status as an NFL great.
