The New York Giants officially announced the signing of free-agent cornerback Adoree' Jackson on Saturday.
In a corresponding move, the Giants released veteran fullback Jakob Johnson for the second time since the initial 53-man roster was released last week.

Johnson is likely going to be the subject of roster moves whenever the Giants need to free up space for an extra player.
It wouldn't be a surprise if they re-signed him to the practice squad again, which is exactly what they did earlier this week when he was a part of the roster cuts to trim the squad down to 53 players.
Jackson's arrival gives the secondary a bit more depth at the cornerback position, but there are still plenty of question marks regarding the group entering the new season.
Even with his late return after spending the offseason and preseason as a free agent, Jackson is likely going to be the starting boundary corner opposite second-year defender Deonte Banks.
It's unclear what his role will be for the Week 1 game against the Minnesota Vikings, but he's likely to be involved in some capacity — if not starting the opener.
