The Houston Texans picked up their second consecutive AFC South championship in 2024 despite the massive regression they saw from their offense down the stretch.
A massive reason for this was the poor play from their offensive line. As a result, the team fired offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik and offensive line coach Chris Strauser following their season ending.
They are now searching for a new OC, and their selection in a new A to Z Sports mock draft would set whoever they hire up for success.
Texans land Arizona versatile offensive lineman Jonah Savaiinaea in a new 2025 NFL mock Draft
"Savaiinaea has the talent to potentially play offensive tackle or inside at guard on the next level. He is a massive blocker with some sweet feet. The versatility and upside he brings is awesome."
- New A to Z Sports Mock Draft
After a fantastic rookie season, the Texans were aggressive in pursuing wide receiver Stefon Diggs. But they hoped the improved play from their line to end the 2023 season would roll over into 2024; they were wrong. Now, they have to make it a priority this offseason.
In this mock draft, they landed Arizona lineman Jonah Savaiinaea. Savaiinaea can play guard and tackle. The Texans would likely use him as a right guard early in his career. However, I could see them having a long-term plan to develop him into their future right tackle.
